Tips On Writing Travel Reviews

We have traveled the world (over 55 countries) and visited countless cities in the pursuit of finding bombastic luxury hotels, resorts, and restaurants. We do this so that we can write real independent and unbiased travel reviews.

So, What Do We Look For?

The top things we take into consideration are:

  1. Have our requests we made ahead of time been met. (Where we picked up at the airport as planned? Do we have the view we requested? if we requested extra towels or luggage racks, were they supplied?
  2. How was the check-in process, quick and friendly, or slow and unfriendly? Were we met at the car by a bellman or valet? Were we treated like valued guests or just someone that came in off the street? Did someone show us to our room or just point in the direction of the elevator?
  3. How clean was our room? Did is smell nice or were there any odd odors? Was there a welcome card, a bowl of fruit or bottle wine or something similar? How was the view? Linens? TV? Other amenities?
  4. Was our luggage brought to the room in a timely manner? Were the bags just dropped or did they set them on luggage racks for us.
  5. How was the housekeeping service? How was the evening service? Did they offer complimentary water? Other nighttime treats like chocolates or sweets?
  6. How was the room service menu? Extensive? What hours do they offer it?
  7. What are the amenities at the hotel? How many restaurants? Pool? Spa? Fitness Center? Are they free or for a fee?
  8. Is there a 24-hour concierge service? Are they knowledgeable?
  9. How are special requests handled by the front desk? How quickly do they pick up the phone? One ring, two rings, three or more? Are they able to answer questions or do you get the runaround or call back later routine?
  10. How is the staff in general? Do they address you? Do they address you by name? When you pass them in the hallway do they acknowledge you or pretend you don’t exist?
  11. How are problems solved? A late delivery? Or poor turndown? Do they rectify the issue quickly and easily or do they make it a big ordeal?
  12. How is service in the restaurants, pools, spa and other facilities?
  13. How is the check out process? Is the bill accurate?

These are just a few of the items we ask ourselves when we review a resort or hotel. There are many, many more things we take into account, but this gives you an idea of just some of the things we take into consideration.

Now that you have seen some of the things we take into consideration when we write a review, maybe you can use some of these same things when you write your next review.

Discover Your True Life Purpose

Who else could use some honest, insightful and intuitive life advice? Do you find yourself struggling to pick a path, or make spiritual progress in your life? Are you stuck, or in a rut, or simply not living the life you feel you were meant to live? The truth is, if it’s any consolation, most people in the world are stumbling and fumbling along… and not living with the sort of joy and juice they truly deserve.

I’m going to tell you what I truly believe is the key to living a life with authentic passion, and purpose and fulfilling your true potential:

You have to first know what you are “here” to do.

And then you need to align your actions, and intentions with living a life that sets out to make that happen.

I’m going to say something very controversial here… and something I know many of you may not agree with:

I believe in fate. In destiny. And in the idea that each of us comes into the world with a purpose and plan.

I also believe that most of us are so distracted, overwhelmed and “unconscious” to what that purpose truly is, that we never get there.

The key is to listen to your heart… as much as your head.

Let your intuition be your guide. Because within each of us, the truth burns bright.

And within that truth, or that inner knowing, is a road map for meaning that was written exclusively for us.

Let me ask you a question…

Have you ever noticed that the most successful, passionate and “powerful” people are almost always those that have known from a very young age… Exactly what they were meant to do? What they were here for? They understood their purpose… infused it with passion and more often than not, are the people that reach the very pinnacle of success and contribution.

I truly believe that there is a similar script for success within you as well. You just have to look deep enough inside to see it. Or listen closely enough to that small voice within to hear it instead.

Let your intuition inspire you, guide you and show you what your life’s work is meant to be.

Life In The Big City

The life in the big city has a lot of exciting things attached to it. Everything including the adventure part of it all is at a higher tempo. It is the higher standard so to speak. However, it is a life deprived of the green surrounding you would find elsewhere. Therefore, to compensate for this, you can have plants in your apartment.

When it comes to apartments, plants and decor go hand in hand. Plants are a way to turn on the artistic side of nature and bring a woody essence to your house. All this is true even before we mention health benefits.

Plants help freshen the air in the house. The Chinese Evergreen is a good example of these. Aloes, on the other hand, treat skin burns.

In fact, if you are a parent, you will achieve much more if you put hearty plants in your apartment.

A good plant you must consider having is the cast iron plant. You may also call it the Aspidistra. It has a degree of resistance that is rivaled by only a few plants. How many plants do you know of that can stay healthy with not-so-frequent water?

The low maintenance plants are an asset to have. You will not have all the time in the world to water them every morning. What’s more, they will also grow to different sizes and have unique shapes.

If there is a time you can loathe plants, it is when there is an eventuality due to nibbling on a poisonous plant. When you are looking for plants that you can bring into your house, you should confirm with the tags and label, because most poisonous ones will have that indicated. Seek more advice from the person in charge of the local greenhouse before you do that.

Plants are general purpose really. You will rarely find anything that can give both beauties and at the same time perform the air-purifying purposes as the way plants do. The variety of choices you have for placing them in the house is also an addition. Have a stately rubber plant stand up to 5 foot high or have a spider plant hang from your ceiling.
